Of *course* we read your blog!!! My fave thing about Valentine's day is seeing everyone receive flowers - all different ones! So pretty!

Now you KNOW that I READ your blog! I'm sure there are a bunch of others too! I'll have to look for those stamps at Joann's...where did you find them?

I read your blog too!!! I try to make Valentines dinner special for my husband and usually cook something that we wouldn't normally have. I also love making an angel food cake and frosting it with cool whip colored with a small amt. of food coloring so that it is a light pink. Yummy, low fat treat. Thanks for this great giveaway.

I subscribe to your blog (of course, I am addicted to all stamping blogs [probably to a fault]). I wish we had a Joann's here! (Of course, even when I travel to the States for business, I never find anything there!) Probably my favorite tradition is telling my husband not to buy me flowers (since the overly practical side of me says that they are all overpriced for that one holiday in particular) and then waiting for the delivery of them since he never listens to me!

Oh...I just read that I had to leave a comment about a Valentine MEMORY...didn't catch that the first 2 times I looked at this entry. I must have been concentrating on the stamp!

I remember on Valentine's Day, when I was 16, my boyfriend, unexpectedly went to where I was training for a new job, picked me up to take me home and had chocolates, a stuffed animal, balloons...and tickets to my very first concert...hehe...Richard Marx...haha.

It was so great b/c I didn't think I'd see him that day b/c we went to different schools and it was so late. And I was pretty excited about going to see a concert. And that boyfriend was just the BEST boyfriend you could have when you were 16!

My favorite memory from Valentine's Day is from college. A dear friend (a male) wasn't dating anyone and neither was I. When I returned to my apartment from student teaching there was a dozen roses in front of the door. The girls I lived with were all sure they were fro them, and so was I. When I read the card and saw they were fro me I was in disbelief. Needless to say that led to our first date and many years together.

Hmmm. My favourite St. Valentine's Day memory is this speech I wrote in Grade 8 or so (for a French public speaking competition). Something like '10 reasons to forget you don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend on Valentine's Day'. Something like that! One of these days I'm sure I'll come across it. I made it to provincial level, too!
Thank you for letting us tag along with your creative growth!

Why wouldn't we read it, Jessica? Sadly, I don't remember a specific memory of a Valentine's day. I just like that it gives my dh and I an excuse to treat each other a little more special.

HI Jessica! I love reading your blog and finally got mine up! No stampin pics yet, just rambling on about my sick boy! lol

My favorite memory as a kid (really a teenager) was at school. Clubs (spanish, debate, etc.) would take turns making notes you could purchase for $1 and have it delivered to a 'special someone' during school. You could pay a bit more and get a rose delivered too! Loved those things, so much fun to send to friends! thanks for sharing! ~~Bobbie

oh, here's another valentine 'memory' from a couple of years ago. When my hubby and I were just dating (gee, I guess it will be 10+ years this year... boy am I getting old!) I made him a valentine's dinner of a heart shaped meatloaf, PINK mashed potatoes and a heart shaped cake for dessert! hehehe

our crazy tradition for valentines day is to make it seem like we don't really buy into the day and get creative in how we show that we love each other (our first valentines together was walking through home depot in peterborough-nothing says love like power tools!)

Hi Jessica - of course we read your blog - love your ideas and cards!!

My favorite memory of Valentine's Day (from years and years ago) is when you'd receive that "anonymous" valentine in gradeschool and hoping that it was from that "special someone" - fun times!!

Happy New Year!

I love reading your blog, Jessica! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays. My Dad's birthday is Valentines and DH's is the day after, so we go hog wild around here. My FAVORITE thing is this heart shaped, triple layer red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting that my mom always makes and then decorates with cinnamon Red Hots! DELICIOUS!!!

I just stumbled across your blog a few days ago and I love it - also love your gallery on SCS. Anyhow...my favorite Valentine memory was from a few years ago. My husband I were both unemployed at the same time and we were being even more careful with our limited resources. My stepson, who was 10 years old at the time, decided to spend some of his leftover Christmas money to do something nice for us. He got one of his friend's mom to drive him to the grocery store where he picked up waffle mix and toppings. He and his sister got up really early on Valentine's day to make us a special breakfast - but we woke to the fire alarm going off as they burned the last batch of waffles they made. We aired out the house, enjoyed the first batch of waffles, and still have a great laugh over the memory of the look on their faces with the alarm going off.

One of my favorite Valentine's memories is from almost 8 years ago. My hubby and I had decided that we would go out on Valentine's day as our last time as just a couple. I was pregnant with our first child at the time and he wasn't due till Feb. 23rd. Well, we never got to go out for dinner for that last Valentine's "before kids." Our son was born on Valentine's Day, early in the morning. It was the best Valentine's gift I've ever gotten. He was born in my old bedroom at my parents' house and my dad made me a huge breakfast of scrambled eggs and bought me a rose, and my mom was there to watch my son being born.

We now celebrate V-day as Zach's birthday, rather than V-day, as I don't want his birthday to be overshadowed by a holiday (I'm a Christmas baby, so I know what that's like in a much bigger sense).I love having a Valentine's child.

Your blog is super cute. LOVE IT!
